A Key for Unlocking Memories -The Wall Stree Journal Article
A Key for Unlocking Memories - Music Therapy Caregivers have observed for decades that Alzheimers patients can still remember and sing songs long after theyve stopped recognizing names and faces. Many hospitals and nursing homes use music as recreation since it brings patients pleasure.
Alzheimer’s disease is common in older people and many individuals may be caring for a relative or friend with the condition. This web site is designed to help people recognise the early signs of Alzheimer’s disease and provides guidance for seeking help and advice for those who are concerned about someone close to them. www.aboutmemoryproblems.com/

Aromicks Blog
While I touch on family members and friends who have had AD in my BLOG my main focus and experience is with Ken my husband of more than 50 years. I have watched him decline from the bright engineer I married to a dependent frail and often angry man with severe memory loss. We have five children (two girls and three boys grown and married) 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Both of us have been physically active all of our lives with Ken running marathons and 10ks taking up his new hobby after he retired. Through the years we have backpacked most of the mountains in the western states and one in Vancouver B.C. always with family. We have not been a sedentary people. With AD rearing its ugly head within the genealogy of our two families all too often my added concern is for our progeny. I pray with all my heart that research can shed some light as well as a cure on this devastating and heart-breaking disease in as short a time as possible. annromick.wordpress.com/

Best of Ourselves - Blog
Best of Ourselves Reflections on finding my way home Marcia Hyatt In the past farmers in the Midwest would tie a rope between the barn and the house so no matter how strong the blizzard they could find their way back home. (the image is from Parker Palmers Hidden Wholeness). In our culture many of us need to find the line between the outside world and our interior home. Sometimes it is hard to know who we are what we are trying to create or how to live our life to the fullest. Sometimes it is hard to forgive ourselves for being the flawed funny human beings we are.
My reflections are part of my strengthening the lines so I (we) can find our way home in hectic times. May our lives be a bit more intentional authentic and joyful. www.bestofourselves.blogspot.com/
